POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Improvement Nurse is responsible for the overall coordination of complete clinical records including accurate, consistent and timely assessments and orders demonstrating quality services according to acceptable standards of practice. The Quality Improvement Nurse has extensive knowledge of the regulatory guidelines governing home health agencies and is able to interpret these regulations to Clinical Managers and Clinicians in the context of coding and current documentation practices.
EDUCATION:
Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and licensed in New Jersey. BS degree is preferable. OASIS knowledge required and certification preferable; willing to obtain within one (1) year if not held upon hire. Coding certification preferable
EXPERIENCE:
Must understand the issues related to the delivery of home health services and be able to problem solve and use critical thinking effectively. Supervisory experience preferred.

Must possess clear evidence of integrity and the highest standards of ethical conduct. Must demonstrate an ability and willingness to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, motivate and win the respect and loyalty of staff, build an excellent team, and accomplish results through others. Must demonstrate strong organization, critical thinking, and analytical skills (verbal, written, presentation) to present information or ideas clearly and communicate effectively and pleasantly with people from all socioeconomic backgrounds. Must demonstrate ability to change from one task to another, frequently without loss of composure or efficiency. Current and valid driver's license , registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level of insurance coverage required, to include collision. Employees must adhare to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 108 including demonstrating an acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment as long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.
