Position Summary

Provides high-level administrative and operational support to Valley Health System’s research leadership, including the Medical Director of Research, Director of Research Operations, and Manager of Clinical Trials & Research. Coordinates key administrative functions supporting the Okonite Research Center, research governance committees, accreditation activities, and departmental operations.

Education

Requires Associates Degree in Office Management, Business Administration or High School diploma or equivalent and completion of formation course work in secretarial science or related field.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in healthcare, academic medicine, research, or a similarly complex environment. Experience supporting senior-level leadership strongly preferred.

· Exceptional organizational and project coordination skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.

· Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, anticipate needs, and appropriately escalate issues.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of professional correspondence, agendas, minutes, and presentations.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

· Strong attention to detail and document-management skills.

· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

· Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with physicians, senior leaders, research personnel, external organizations, and other stakeholders.

· Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a complex healthcare and research environment

Pay Range: $27.94 – $34.93 (per hour)
