Time Off Programs

We at Valley Health System believe that when employees are well-rested, healthy, and free of worries from personal emergencies, they are better prepared to perform at work. That is why we offer a generous package of benefit time.

Valley Health System employees put patients and their families first and are proud of the difference they make every day. Whether caring for patients and their families or providing the important services to those who do, our employees demonstrate compassion, innovation, and respect to all.

Paid Time Off (PTO) – All regular full-time and regular part-time employees accrue PTO based on their position, their regularly scheduled biweekly hours and their years of service.

Wellness Time Off (WTO) – In addition to PTO, all regular full-time employees accrue WTO up to a maximum of 40 hours. Both, PTO and WTO may be used for sickness, vacation, and personal reasons.

Paid Holidays include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Leaves of Absence may be granted based on New Jersey and federal laws concerning family and medical leave. Both New Jersey and federal laws cover employees for various leaves.
